Clark Van Oyen

Hi there! I grew up on a farm, and spent my childhood writing code which (I hope!) molded me into a resourceful yet methodical person. Having always loved understanding how things work, I took Physics at UBC. After a few engineering jobs, I founded a Countable Inc, which built the technology for a number of startups that soon ranked among the fastest growing companies in my city (Vancouver). Most recently, my connection to healthcare (wife and colleagues) made me realize the software there is 20 years out of date, and causing people a lot of frustration, wasted time and worst of all, negative health outcomes. I'm grateful to my team at Cortico.ca who, together, have been able to solve a lot of these problems already and I'm incredibly excited to continue scaling. Seeing the grateful patients, doctors and staff who use our systems is incredibly motivating for us to keep pushing the limits in health tech!
