Corin Gutteridge
In British Columbia, CanadaAbout Me
I'm very excited to be working with a dynamic open-source software project, looking to revolutionize the business system segment. We're providing innovative solutions for companies that are seeking an alternative, through an innovative set of tools that allows us to build tailored systems quickly, simply, and affordably. Simultaneously, I am still working on events and communications projects, delivering high level production and creative in service of strategic communication goals. It's been an interesting journey from the entertainment business to business software. Every entertainment project is like a start-up unto itself. The fast pace, changing circumstances, the need to quickly build a team and a project from the ground up are all hallmarks of the shared attributes between the two worlds. For the last 20 years I have worked in a broad range of circumstances - from low budget to high budget, from short time frames to long, from events to entertainment to corporate communications - which has given me a breadth that comes in handy. I've handled a range of leadership positions, both creative and managerial on exciting projects, such as experiential marketing, corporate meetings, theatre, video, dance, and PR launch campaigns. From content development to budgeting, from leading teams to speech writing and video scripting, and many points in between, I've picked up skills that have come in handy as the CEO of a vibrant start-up. I enjoy brainstorming and idea generation, and working with clients to understand their system, and figure out how to mold Formever to meet their needs is the sort of logical puzzle that I particularly love. I love challenges! It’s why I've taken on the challenge of building Formever, and why I work in events, because it’s always different and a little unpredictable. At the end of the day, it’s all about creating work that we can all be proud of.
