Dan Eisenhardt

Dan Eisenhardt is a two-time founder and CEO of Sports AR technology startups FORM and Recon Instruments (acquired by Intel, June 2015). A driven entrepreneur with a passion for sports, wearables, and smart eyewear technology, Dan brought the first consumer heads-up display to market in 2010. In doing so, Dan turned a technology once reserved for the military into a fashionable, affordable solution for sports. In 2015, Dan co-founded Rhino Ventures which has become Western Canada's leading early stage venture fund with $170M under management across three funds. Dan has a professional background in management consulting and biotechnology. Before co-founding Recon in 2008, Dan accumulated experience working for global management consulting firms. His expertise covers international markets, including the United States, Europe, Japan, Canada, and Australia, as well as fields ranging from consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and food processing to packaged consumer goods. Dan swam competitively at an international level, both in his native Denmark and in the United States, where he was an NJCAA All-American, and he remains a passionate swimmer, cyclist, Ironman triathlete, and skier. His athletic background was a key inspiration for the founding of both FORM and Recon Instruments.
