I have been developing software for over 32 years, most of them consulting across diverse sectors with stringent requirements for high performance, availability, scalability and security. I work with a fantastic team here at Avato, many of whom I have known and trusted for a very long time to help deliver on our visions of perfecting and advancing organizations abilities to successfully engage in digital transformation, creating seamless customer experiences and providing a foundation for innovation. I started my career developing real-time music performance software in 1987, developing in basic, C and assembly, followed by decades of C++, .Net and Java as these technologies were introduced. I have founded technology startups and helped other startups with development processes. My company and I have also played critical roles on mega-projects from $15M to $85M. As an object-oriented architect and developer, I am passionate about digital transformation, SOA, model-centric design, efficient systems development and processes that result in long-lived maintainable scalable products and systems. As an architect, I design, implement and maintain robust sustainable systems and infrastructure elegantly modeled in UML, and define product lifecycles and development processes that empower development teams and IT groups. As a programmer, I create innovative real-time inter-connected technologies using HTML5, Java EE (J2EE), C++, XML, HTML5, TCP-IP and a host of other technologies.
