Donald Gauvreau

Donald Gauvreau MSc., CSCS Don is recognized as one of the best researchers and product formulators in the dietary supplement and natural health product industry. He has earned the moniker “The Supplement Godfather” because of his in-depth knowledge and ability to continually develop new and exciting dietary ingredients and products. Over the past 20-plus years, Don has formulated and marketed hundreds of different products being sold around the world. In 2012, Don was honoured with the distinction of Top 40 Under 40 by Vancouver Business magazine. Don’s academic background includes a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and he also holds the designation of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Most recently, he earned the distinction of CBD (Cannabidiol) Professional from the CBD Training Academy. Don has hundreds of articles published in health and fitness publications and is a regular contributor to Inside Fitness and Muscle Insider magazines. In 2008, Don founded PharmaFreak Technologies Inc. with friend and business partner Alex Savva. PharmaFreak quickly grew into a market-leading sports nutrition brand in more than 50 countries worldwide. In 2011, Don founded LBRX Sciences Inc. and developed another brand, SD Pharmaceuticals, in order to meet the demands of consumers looking for new, cutting-edge ingredients. In 2014, SAGA Sciences was incorporated, and it holds ownership of both the PharmaFreak and SD Pharmaceuticals brands, reaching annual sales of up to $15M. In late 2019, Don sold his 50 percent stake in SAGA Sciences in order to focus his time and energy on helping other entrepreneurs and businesses through his consulting firm, Kaleidoscope Health Inc. Much of Don’s time is now spent on his true passion project—studying, researching and developing various forms of alternative medicine derived from cannabis, fungi and other traditionally used plants. Don’s mission is to educate people on the benefits of alternative medicine and how to properly use it, all while providing high-quality, consistent and affordable access to people in need. In addition to his passion for health and fitness, Don also volunteers much of his time coaching youth sports. He also has a keen interest in educating youth on the benefits of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. During his graduate studies, Don studied the effects of nutrition on the cognitive function of school-aged children. Don is also a certified teacher and member in good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers.
