Gabe Guetta

Gabe Guetta is the CEO and Co-Founder of Salus, a young SaaS company specializing in safety software. Born and raised in Greater Vancouver, Gabe was exposed to construction from a young age. The son of a cabinetmaker, Gabe grew up in and around the trades, and he knew early-on that he wanted to work with his hands. No sooner did his high school career end that his life in construction began, and he took to the work and to the environment like a hammer to a nail. He couldn’t have known it at the time, but that jobsite culture - and the unique bonds that were formed when a diverse group of people came together to accomplish big things - were to become the foundation for the unique and rock-solid culture of the software company he would go on to create. Having put in his time and earned the trust and respect of his peers, it wasn’t long before Gabe was tapped to manage a crew of his own. Fast-forward to 2010 and Gabe was running a 100-person high-rise window installation company with crews working across Western Canada when he experienced a life altering event which ultimately led to him searching for a non-existing product at the time. Simply put, nothing in the market had been built to solve the specific set of challenges he faced around safety management systems. He then turned to his longtime friend and software engineer, to set out to build an industry-changing solution. Within months of launching, one of SALUS’ first customers landed along with 700 field workers as daily platform users. This was big news for the small company, but it made for a trial by fire as the feedback came fast and furious from the field. With the assistance of his leadership, Gabe has successfully enacted on his vision, leading the global movement for innovation in digital safety for the construction industry.
