Jeffrey Robert Mason CPA-CA, ICD.D, BCom.

Mr. Mason holds an Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He has 25 yrs of public company experience in e-commerce, Bitcoin and mineral mining in the Americas, Asia and Africa. He has expertise in strategic business planning, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, regulatory reporting, governance, culture, and construction/operations/budgeting/financial systems. For 8 yrs, Mr. Mason served as board director and audit chair of TSX/NASDAQ- listed, Coastal Contacts Inc., e-retailer with annual sales of over $220 million and 650 employees until its May 2014 sale to Essilor International for $450 million. After starting as financial advisor in Dec 2017, from March-Aug 2018 he was lead independent board director of Hut 8 Mining (TSX:HUT OTCQX HUTMF), a Bitcoin miner, during go public financing RTO. Thereafter, from June 2018-April 2019, he served as Managing Director of Bitfury Technology, a private global company who engineers, manufactures $ operates Bitcoin ASIC chips, software, and blockbox technology. As Canadian Managing Director of operations and expansion into North America, he secured a 10 yr $240m Alberta power supply agreement, followed by successfully building the largest Bitcoin mining facility in North America, under budget and ahead a schedule, at 40% larger than plan. Mr. Mason oversaw 3 operating facilities covering 120 staff, wherein he orderly drove operating costs down by 44% YOY, increasing margins. Mr. Mason was a board director from May 2014-April 2020, and Chair of the board and Interim CEO/President for the last year/6 months of that term respectively, of Great Panther Mining, (TSX;NYSE-MKT), with gold & silver revenues from Mexico, Brazil and Peru operations of about $270m with 2,300 employees/contractors. For 15 years (1994-2008) he served as a Principal & Chief Financial Officer of Hunter Dickinson Inc., which included CFO, Corporate Secretary and board director for 15 public companies listed on the TSX, TSX-V and NYSE MKT. In 2004, he was awarded the BC Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He began his career with Deloitte LLP followed by 6 years at Barrick Gold in mineral exploration, construction and mining operations reporting. Mr. Mason serves as a director on the boards of Fury Gold Mines (FURY.TSX/NYSE MKT) (Lead Director), since February 2019; Torq Resources (TSX-V: TORQ, OTCQX: TRBMF), since September 2017; Tier One Silver Inc. since October 2020; Sombrero Resources Ltd. since October 2020 and Wildpack Beverage Inc. since August 2019 (Chair).
