Jon Stovell

Professional: President and CEO – Reliance Properties Ltd. (www.relianceproperties.ca). Jon Stovell has been in the real estate investment and development industry for over 25 years. He works in all areas including acquisitions, finance, civic approvals, construction and marketing. For the past twenty one years he has served as General Manager and now President for Reliance Properties Ltd. (located in the Gastown area of Vancouver, BC). Reliance has been active in the development, ownership and management of a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate for over 50 years. At Reliance, he has developed a broad base of expertise in portfolio management with an emphasis on urban renewal through restoration and renovation of heritage buildings, together with development of new strata and rental residential and specialty office and retail projects. The firm has earned several awards for its contribution to the retention of heritage buildings, high rise excellence and affordable housing in the Downtown and Gastown and Downtown Eastside Areas. Reliance has a staff of approximately 50 people in management, leasing, maintenance and building managers. He has completed or is currently managing the development of over one billion in new development, construction and renovation projects in addition to managing an investment mixed property portfolio in excess of 600 million in value. Recent or current projects include the multiple award winning Burns Block Micro-Lofts, award winning 564 Beatty Office Building UUDI 2014 Best in Show), the 250 Million West Pender Place in Coal Harbour and the One Million square foot 500 Million 54 Story Burrard Place with Jim Pattison Developments. In 2013 Reliance was named the most innovative company in B.C. by B.C. Business Magazine for its Burns Block Micro-Lofts. In 2014 Jon was named as one of Vancouver Magazine’s Power 50.
