Kunal Sethi, P.Eng.

Hi, I’m Kunal! I’m a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) who has lived across three continents and takes pride in his multi-cultural understanding and diversity. After 4+ years of project management on technical projects, I am now an impact-driven entrepreneur. I am the Co-Founder of UVX, a company on a mission to improve hygiene in senior care. I am grateful to the University of British Columbia for the International Leader of Tomorrow Award (ILOT), the university's most prestigious full tuition and living allowance scholarship totalling over $220,000 in total funding awarded to only 23 students worldwide that allowed me to come to Canada in pursuit of further education. My passions are deeply rooted in personal challenges I faced due to poor infrastructure growing up in Tanzania. Having been frustrated with poorly managed healthcare and enterprises in Tanzania, I co-founded a charity that focuses on congenital heart disease in Tanzania, served as the Finance Director of the African Business Club, and led the Institute of Transportation Engineers as Vice President among numerous other involvements. In my down time, I enjoy working on passion projects, cooking different cuisines, adventure sports, basketball, and dancing to fine tunes.
