Matt Showell

I grew up in Vancouver and studied English Literature at UBC. In the summer of 2006 I landed a freelance writing gig in Las Vegas at the World Series of Poker and the following year began traveling the world full time creating web content from the world’s biggest live poker tournaments. Over the next decade I went from staff writer to editor in chief of PokerListings.com. I was involved in creating overall content marketing strategies that included search engine optimization, content marketing and social media. I've personally interviewed over 1,000 people for print and video including celebrities, billionaires, poker pros and average Joes (and Jills). I'm passionate about telling stories and I love meeting new people from all walks of life.
