Founder & CEO of Nextleaf Solutions (CSE: OILS), a federally regulated producer of cannabis oils commercializing one of the largest collections of U.S. patents for the extraction & distillation of cannabinoids. Nextleaf distributes CBD and THC vapes and distilled oils under its award-winning prohibition-era brand, Glacial Gold, and supplies cannabinoid ingredients to its wholesale partners. I have focused on the cannabis industry since 2013. Early investor and advisor to Peace Naturals, Canada’s first legal cannabis oil producer, acquired in 2016 by The Cronos Group (TSE: CRON). In 2018, my family purchased the vacant pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, and founded Bluenose Labs, the first cannabis processor on Cape Breton Island. Named to the Cannabis Industry Top 40 Under 40 by Marijuana Venture in 2020. Over my career I’ve founded five companies that have gone public through an IPO or reverse takeover. Founded my first company in University, and led an exit through a reverse takeover in 2007 by Towerstream, a NASDAQ listed technology company. I have over 10 years of experience as a board member of publicly traded companies. I hold an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University and a Bachelors of Commerce Degree from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University. I grew up in Langley, B.C. in a dairy farming family. When not focused on family and business, I’m a committed New England Patriots fan.
