I have extensive CEO, President and General Management experience, leading multi-million dollar businesses. I have an exceptional record of transforming businesses, developing people, cultivating culture, creating and executing strategy, growing revenue, profits and unit count, while significantly improving business processes, efficiencies and operations. Most recently, as CEO at Balzac's, I prepared the manufacturing, wholesale and cafe businesses for growth, positioning them to become one of Canada's premier Coffee Roasters and Cafe companies; working closely with the Founder and the Board. Previously with Nando's, sales grew more than 300%, unit count by 40%, average unit volume doubled, while unit level profitability increased by 10% over the course of 5 years. This was accomplished while cultivating an incredibly purposeful and infectious company and culture. I restructured the Supply Chain, Human Resource, Operations and Project Management functions, resulting in a reduction in cost of sales, an improvement in recruitment, selection and training, while improving the restaurant level experience scores by +10%. I led the transformation of the brand from a QSR to a Fast Casual brand, introducing a new visual identity, tone of voice, menu, and a new restaurant design across the country.
