Gagan Foods International Ltd

Gagan Foods was established in 1991 under the name “Weavers Canada” Imports. In 2003 the company was formally renamed Gagan Foods International Ltd., and by the end of 2010, Gagan Foods captured over 60% of the market for South Asian grocery products. Gagan Foods is now the largest distributor of South Asian grocery products in Western Canada, catering to Indian, Pakistani, and other Asian populations living in Canada.

The company has also launched its own registered “Gagan” brand in which they distribute spices, lentils, rice, flour, and other assorted grocery products to consumers. Gagan Foods is also a registered unit within the National Herbal Products Directorate (NHPD) of Canada and are sole distributors of big national food brands from India.

The Gagan brand has become synonymous within the growing South Asian population in Canada. Today, we cater to more than 1000 grocery retailers across Canada, including many serviced by mainstream supermarkets such as the Overwatea Food Group, Loblaws, Sobeys, and Wal-Mart.
