I am currently a first-year commerce student at Queen’s University, Smith School of Business. After one year of study, I have learned the fundamentals of business including economics, accounting, and marketing. With the more advanced studying in excel skills in Statistics and knowledge from other business-related courses, I gained my interest in business analysis. I enjoy the feeling of analyzing and solving problems. I hope to become a member of Newcomp to accomplish the “take you there” mission.My experience as marketing manager in collecting preference surveys in a marketing competition project assists me to analyze primary data and find the most popular product in each segment. In the past four months, I finished other marketing and statistic projects, which taught me the importance of residuals in analyzing.I plan to graduate with a double major in Bachelor of Commerce and Art & Science. I tend to have more important technological skills and theory knowledge.
