Deanne Reynolds
In California, United StatesAbout Me
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Deanne received her fine art training taking summer workshops during high school at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. There she studied drawing, painting, photography, graphic design and theory. She then moved to Chicago to study film at Columbia College. After 3 short films and 2 awards for best student film, she set her sights out west and transferred to The Academy of Art San Francisco. Six months into her studies, she was scouted as a model and began working on international advertising campaigns, and closely studied those behind the scenes, mostly the make-up artists, stylists, and photographers. Inspired by her experiences, she decided to try her hand at being a make-up artist. Pulling together all of her resources, she grabbed her model friends, executed her ideas, then photographed them and took the portfolio back to Chicago. She was immediately signed by FORD Artists and within her first year back in Chicago became one of the most sought after make-up artists in the city. After 5 years in Chicago, and opening a photography studio in that interim, she moved to Los Angeles after signing with one of the city’s top agencies, Smashbox Studio’s Photogenics. It was here that she moved from make-up artist to Art Director and Producer. Two years later, she partnered with her long time friend and photographer, Tom Casey, to start a full service production company, Who’s Your Studio (WYS). She worked with WYS for 3 years then moved on to live and freelance in New York City. Deanne now resides in Los Angeles and is a freelance Photo Retoucher and Art Director. She also has a passion for singing, and is currently the voice of 8 national Friskies commercials as well as the international voice of the Fanta soda brand. Specialties: Master photo retoucher. Art direction and styling. Strong eye for color and composition. Photo editing and layout. Visual research.
