Kate began her entrepreneurial career in the music industry when she founded and ran the management and events company coined Kapital Entertainment. After many nights of live shows and client negotiations, Kate found herself drawn more to home cooked meals and sharing dinners around town with her friends and family in her limited downtime. She decided to direct her attention to committing her work life to sharing all of what she felt in those moments with and as a guest of Vancouver's restaurants. Climbing the restaurant ladder led her to working in brew houses, fine dining to diners in Vancouver. She moved on to run the Beverage Program as Bar/Assistant Restaurant Manager at Timber, in the Listel Hotel. Nearing the end of 2017 she moved from Vancouver to Caye Caulker, Belize to pursue restaurant development within an Italian fine dining establishment. After successfully expanding the business to offer additional services she shifted back to her farm to table experience with “Pilgrimme” restaurant on Galiano Island, BC. Back in Vancouver and back in the chaos of downtown restaurants came the hit of Covid 19, when Kate pivoted, received her certification as a Holistic Chef and started her own Private Chef & Meal Prep business catering to busy families providing healthy and locally sourced meals. She also launched the #LasagnaProgram in Fall 2020, a ready made meal option available for single orders.
