After creating indie comics in NYC for a number of years, I met a beautiful group of filmmakers and expanded my talents into the storyboard/preproduction design of film, TV, web. Following these creative friends' recommendations I came to LA to seek opportunities in the production and promotional aspect of the entertainment industry. And it's amazing! Connecting with like minded creatives, working at all levels of a production, and seeing visions realized, it's so cool! From creating visual pitch packages, storyboards and conceptual design, to multifaceted on-set work and back to my first love of comic books, my experience on the west coast has been very fulfilling. I love the storytelling of shooting boards and comic books, as well as the earnest creativity of conceptual design. I take this core love of visual storytelling into all aspects of my work as a story artist. I've discovered the joy of creating key illustrations for pitch packages. Choosing and illustrating the scenes that express the heart of a project is exhilarating, and is accentuated when the project is picked up! And when I can, working crew on set for passionate people with visions always a joy. Whether it's Set Dec and Construction(I'm from MI, I can swing a hammer!), hauling c-stands, swapping gels, handling crafty in a small desert town and talking to local store managers to get more emergen-C asap or cam op on the fly for funky low angle shots on a flutist for a music video, it's all so great!
