Profile Title
Raul Leckie
In California, United StatesAbout Me
Raul Leckie’s interest in healthy living and nutrition began while working as a Project Manager and Educator for Los Ninos, a non-profit agency along the Mexican/American border, building community gardens and teaching sustainable agriculture. That experience developed into a life-long passion and he later became a certified Nutritional Therapist through the Nutritional Therapist Association. He believes strongly that part of healing our communities and ourselves involves shifting how our society views health and nutrition. Raul worked for 18 years in film and television as a producer and cameraman and specialized in extreme projects. He successfully managed complicated projects like airplane racing and remote locations like filming polar bears in the arctic circle. He co-created and produced the Imax film “Air Racers” that played at the Smithsonian Museum for two years. His heart drew him to work on conservation causes as a media consultant for non-profit organizations like Green Peace, Polar Bears International, World Wildlife Fund, New Mexico Wildlife Federation and many others. In 2012 Raul met his wife and together they have 4 sons, 2 of whom were foster-adopted. Foster parenting solidified Raul’s understanding of the power of "being in service". Both he and his wife are committed advocates for foster parenting and continue to support the foster care community. As a family they are always seeking ways to serve and grow their community while learning through experience. In 2017 he decided to go full time into real estate investing and began buying rental properties and flipping properties in New Jersey. He currently owns properties in New Jersey, Mississippi, California and New Mexico. His focus has now shifted to the exceptional returns on Short Term Rentals and he is working with other investors to build out a portfolio of Short Term Rental properties.
