About Me

Owner of Good Reads With Ronna (www.goodreadswithronna.com). I began GRWR in 2009 to spread the word about all the great children's books being published. Don't miss the great variety of input from regular contributors including Cathy Ballou Mealey, Write For Success editor, Christine Van Zandt, Hilary Taber, Ozma Bryant, Dornel Cerro, Armineh Manookian and Lucy Ravitch. The site has also welcomed guest bloggers reviewers like authors Carol Weston, Kristen Kittscher, Catherine Linka, Sara Kras and Dr. Juli Barry. We're always on the lookout for more guests to share their kidlit insights. On Good Reads With Ronna you'll find hundreds of children's book reviews, author and illustrator interviews, plus giveaways, blog tours, guest posts, and even book related and educationally oriented product coverage. My colleagues and I try to review as many books as possible, but we cannot guarantee a review if a book is mailed to us. Please keep in mind that Middle Grade and YA fiction take considerably longer to read and review, but we do our best to cover titles in a timely fashion. See the site for our policies. I have written countless product and book reviews during my three plus years tenure as Associate Editor at L.A. Parent magazine where I continue to freelance. I've handled contests and giveaways for the magazine and its ancillaries. In a marketing capacity I was in charge of magazine events and sponsorships. I've also written numerous articles, personal essays, a Chat Room interview and author Q & As. I've worked behind-the-scenes at the L.A. Festival of Books interviewing authors, entertainers, posting on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Google+. At present I blog and tweet daily about reading related events. I'm an active member of SCBWI and co-chair the bi-monthly West San Gabriel Valley LitMingle at Hastings Ranch library. Skills: Writing, editing, sales, prize procurement, marketing and event planning and promotion.
