Fred graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He articled with the national accounting firm Price Waterhouse and attained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1988. Fred worked his way up to a senior tax manager at Price Waterhouse before leaving to start his own practice in October of 1991.
