Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our team in Vancouver. The ideal applicant should be a team player with 1 to 2 years of experience in office administration and general accounting.
Qualifications
• 1 to 2 years of experience in an administrative role, working in a finance department
• Experience in accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, data entry, filing
• Diploma in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting is an asset
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word
• Experience with accounting software, such as Sage Cloud Accounting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written English language skills
• Ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects
• Strong work ethic
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable
• Verify transaction information, compute charges and refunds, and prepare invoices
• Assist with daily bank deposits
• Reconcile statements and transactions
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and issuing adjustments
• Follow internal accounting controls
• File and maintain financial records
• Occasionally assist at Burnaby satellite office (near Metrotown) with reception and conveyancing duties
