COMPUTER NINJA/CHIEF FUN OFFICER

Description

We are a growing and expanding food broker, importer, and distribution company based in North Vancouver. Established in 1973, we are a family owned and operated business, currently in its second generation.

***POSITION OVERVIEW***
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and a diverse range of tasks. The position is full-time, with start times flexible from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. You will report directly to the Upper Management who are both dyslexics so expect nonlinear thinking, and out-of-the-box creative solutions. A can-do attitude is essential.

***KEY RESPONSIBILITIES***
• Building deals for retailers on their portals
• Verifying debits claimed from retailers for these deals
• Encouraging the sales team to prepare just before deals go live
• Assisting with the onboarding of new products and brands
• Forecasting demand and ordering additional truckloads to keep our warehouse well-stocked

Over the past 15 years, we have developed our own custom ERP system to manage stock levels effectively. We welcome your input to make it even more efficient and user-friendly. The ideal candidate should be open to learning and implementing AI where it can benefit the team.

***Be Our Company CFO (Chief Fun Officer)***
We are looking for a team cheerleader for staff lunches, funny posters, or epic staff outings that support a team building culture. Think Symphony of Fire, pyro to winter pinatas that we get to smash.

***Our Dream Hire Would Have***
- Strong computer data entry skills (60 words per minute or more with high accuracy)
- An appreciation for the Apple/Mac environment (we do not use PCs)
- Advanced skills in Word and Excel, including formula building
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Exceptional telephone and customer service skills
- Reliability and regular attendance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable with taking dictation
