Description
O2E Brands is looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in the Vancouver area. You will oversee the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash application. You drive measurable impacts and implement strategies to optimize collection efforts and minimize bad debt.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash application.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of customers.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and work to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Manage and resolve issues related to billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
- Implement strategies to optimize collection efforts and minimize bad debt and customer appeasement adjustments.
- Ensure the completion of all month end and other accounting related processes including, but not limited to:
- Monthly referrals, rebates, invoice adjustments and liquidated damages process and
- Cash applications, refunds, intercompany transfers are happening on a timely basis and documentation is being maintained
- Work with the credit and collections team function to ensure the AFDA provision is adequate and write-off of bad debts occur on a timely basis and adequate documentation is maintained
- Review all month end activities prepared by the NASA Finance team, this includes bank reconciliations and month end reconciliations, ensuring they are completed within the 5 day close time frame and identify areas for streamlining
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and optimize profitability for the National Accounts division
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and provide variance analysis
- Identify trends, assess risks, and propose corrective actions to ensure financial stability
- Analyze cost structures, including customer and market vertical profitability and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability
- Review and manage all financial transactions to ensure efficient use of resources
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial initiatives
Other Duties:
- Support initiatives to automate finance processes specifically within the National Accounts customer journey.
- Support business transformation projects and other growth-related activities within the National Accounts Division
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the National Accounts function.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements to AR processes.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 6 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting roles including general ledger, monthly closing activity, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis or public accounting
- Ability to multi-task, strong verbal and written communication skills and problem solve
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary $83k-112k per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
