Description
PLEA Community Services is hiring a dedicated Full-Time HR Administrator (Personnel Files) to join our HR team in Vancouver, BC. This role involves managing employee personnel files, coordinating background screening, tracking HR metrics, and providing administrative support across various HR functions. We’re looking for a professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to a dynamic HR environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance of employee personnel files with internal and external requirements (e.g., Collective Agreement, licensing, funding agreements).
- Track document expiration, ensuring timely submission of required paperwork by employees or management.
- Coordinate the agency's response to employee milestones and life events (e.g., long-service awards).
- Conduct background checks for shortlisted candidates to meet compliance standards.
- Support preboarding and onboarding activities and facilitate HR orientation sessions as needed.
- Assist in managing the agency’s student program and ensure the HR filing systems are accurate, organized, and compliant.
- Develop systems to track and report HR metrics, prepare regular and on-demand reports.
- Complete department projects and design materials to support HR initiatives.
- Support daily operations of the HR team, including policy implementation and procedure maintenance.
- Provide general administrative support, including mail distribution, supply orders, and backfill coverage as required.
- Uphold confidentiality in handling all sensitive HR information.

Additional Information
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (37.5 hours per week), with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Work Location: Vancouver, BC.
