About the SUCCESS Multi-Level Care Society
To care for the seniors like our own by providing a continuum of excellent, culturally appropriate services for them. In 1995, the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care Society was incorporated with the purpose of establishing linguistically and culturally appropriate care for those seniors in our community. It has now developed into a provider of quality residential care and health services.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a permanent full-time position. Reporting to the Associate Director of Human Resources & Administrative (ADHRA) in supporting the daily human resources functions, such as recruitment, new hires onboarding and orientation, occupational health & safety, staff training & education, and so on. Assists ADHRA in updating Human Resources and Administrative Policies and employee filing system. Initiates human recourse project to enhance the effectiveness and efficient of the human resources operations. Supports management team in varies projects as needed.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to ADHRA – maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Assists ADHRA to review and update the Human Resources Policies and Administration Policies
- Provides recruitment support to all departments including job posting, candidate searching and pre-screening, interviews scheduling and follow up document checks
- Conducts off-site hiring as needed
- Prepares and verifies documents for new hire onboarding, including employment letter, employee recruitment forms/documents, orientations
- Maintains employee management system and employee filing system
- Conduct employee survey, training needs analysis and exit interview to identify the areas to improvement employee engagement and training needs
- Updates IT and Payroll Departments on the movement of staff to ensure the consistency of employee record between SUCCESS and SUCCESS MLC
- Assists ADHRA in review and consolidate the performance review system
- Assists ADHRA to plan and execute the employee engagement programs
- Work with Social/Volunteer Department to coordinate employee recognition nomination and selections
- Assists ADHRA to follow up the OH&S events and action items
- Provides support to the management team for various projects
- Assists with HR projects and other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENT
- Post-secondary education in HR or related field
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of Human Resources experience, experience in unionized workplace will be an asset
- Working towards CPHR designation considered an asset
- Experience of project lead is an asset
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent team player with effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); Ability to speak and write in Chinese is an asset
- Professionalism, confidentiality, a strong customer orientation and follow- up skills are required in this position
- Able to prioritize daily workload and respond to requests promptly and accurately
- Ability to think positively and add value to the team
- Ability to work closely with staff, senior managers, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office – Excel and Outlook
