Description
Whitelaw Twining is a highly successful multi-disciplinary firm with a focus on litigation and with offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto providing a full range of legal expertise. In 2022, we increased the opportunities for our firm and our staff by joining the DWF Group, a global provider of integrated legal and business services.

Responsibilities
- Organize and manage file storage, including closing files and coordinating off-site storage.
- Support reception during breaks, absences, and vacation coverage.
- Coordinate vendor visits for office equipment maintenance and troubleshoot basic office technology issues.
- Manage mail services, including sorting, distributing, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist with setting up workstations and onboarding materials for new hires.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of office areas, including reception, boardrooms, and kitchens.
- Stock and replenish supplies, including snacks, beverages, and office essentials.
- Provide administrative support during firm events, including setup and takedown.
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, offering a professional and welcoming presence.
- Perform additional administrative tasks and assist with other office projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Up to 1 year of administrative or customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and comfort with managing basic office technology.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle a high volume of work effectively.
- Professional and polished communication skills, with a customer-service focus.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Legal office experience is an asset but not required.
- Flexible to work shifts between 7:45 am and 5 pm, with occasional overtime.
