Seeking: Part-Time Dental Hygienist

The MCC Medical Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygienist for a rewarding position at local community clinic. The position would be 3 days per week (with the potential to expand to 4 days per week) including at least one regular weekend day. The MCC Clinic serves to provide medical and dental care to the local low-income and/or uninsured community.

Potential candidates should be friendly, personable, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment. The dental clinic staff works as a small team in a small area, and team cooperation is important. Potential candidates should also be very comfortable working with computers, as we use multiple different programs for scheduling, charting, X-Rays, etc.

Job Description/Requirements:

• Active Dental Hygiene License in Maryland, in good standing.

• Providing adult prophylaxis and full month debridement's.

• Identifying potential concern areas, noting caries.

• Patient charting.

• Should be comfortable using and learning modern scheduling and charting technology.

• Should be comfortable using variety of computer software.

• Should be familiar with taking digital X-Ray's and working with the X-Ray Software.

• Should be comfortable working independently.

• Should be comfortable with learning new skills/instruments in small office set-up.

• Comfort/desire to do scaling and root planning in some cases.

• Spanish speaking, and/or other additional languages is a plus.
