Job Summary:
The Purchaser will be responsible for managing the procurement process for MET. This includes sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing within the printing industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Source and purchase printing materials and supplies, including paper, inks, and other consumables.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the production and finance teams to align procurement activities with company goals.
- Be apart of the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the printing industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of printing materials and supplies is highly desirable.
