Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) contractor to join our team and build their practice. The ideal candidate is a self starter that will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills. As an RMT, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them achieve relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. This role requires a compassionate approach and the ability to tailor treatments to meet individual client needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical conditions and needs before starting treatment.
• Create personalized treatment plans based on assessments and client preferences.
• Apply various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage.
• Keep accurate records of client treatments, progress, and any changes in their condition.
• Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and suggest follow-up treatments or home care practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients before and after each session.
• Adhere to professional standards in line with industry regulations and ethical guidelines.

Experience

• Certification as a Registered Massage Therapist from an accredited institution is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for clear communication with clients and healthcare professionals.
• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred to enhance client interactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends is highly valued.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
