Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Social Media Management

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including maintaining the social media calendar on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis;
  • Lead the social media strategy, aligning it with the business goals, brand identity and core values;
  • Analyze social media performance metrics, adjusting strategy as necessary through A/B testing to optimize engagement, reach and Return on Investment (ROI);
  • Create content and manage the process from concept to publication;
  • Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video, and code) to establish meaningful customer engagement with the Peterson brand.
  • Work flexibly and be available for evening and weekend content creation as needed;
  • Monitor social media trends to ensure we maintain a fresh and engaging presence; and
  • Collaborate across different departments to understand and meet the organization’s social media needs; while ensuring that all stakeholders are represented.

Brand Awareness and Communications

  • Monitor the Peterson brand by working with business unit leaders to ensure programs are supported with proper branded materials and supporting brand unity efforts;
  • Create high quality, unique and engaging content that can be used across various platforms;
  • Act as a social media advisor for the company, providing insights, suggestions and trends update;
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing and sales team for social media;
  • Build and maintain a strong online presence by engaging with customer groups and influencers;
  • Manage workflows and maintain accurate records and reports as required; and
  • Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to measure the success of our social media campaigns; and
  • Bolster and refine Peterson’s social media strategy to moderate future campaigns
  • Respectfully and capably representing the best interest of Peterson in all internal and external dealing

QUALIFICATIONS


1. Academic, technical and professional competence

  • A post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business administration, or a related field;
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; and
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, and Instagram Promotions

2. Work Experience and Job Skills

A demonstrated track record with a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media specialist or a similar role, with a portfolio of successful social media content;
  • In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms
  • Proficient in creating content including written and visual creatives and designs;
  • Self-motivated and independent with strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent problem solver with an investigative mindset to proactively identify issues and offer solutions and alternatives;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage online communities and foster audience interaction;
  • And excellent ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
