Do you want to take your marketing experience, attention to detail, creativity, and relationships in the industry to the next level? If so, this might be the position for you!

 


The Role

The MRG Group is currently seeking a Venue Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will divide their time / focus between MRG’s 3 Live Music Venues in BC, The Vogue Theatre (Vancouver), The Biltmore Cabaret (Vancouver) and the Capital Ballroom (Victoria).

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a marketing background to work in the music industry. The primary responsibilities will be a combination of marketing our rooms to the industry to generate bookings as well as marketing our programs / events to the public to capture the in venue experience and boost ticket sales.

 


Responsibilities:

  • Website management
  • Social media management
  • Art direction / creative design
  • Content creation & posting
  • In venue activations / marketing initiatives
  • Sponsorship acquisition & management
  • Develop and manage digital marketing strategies & budgets
  • Email marketing
  • Develop and manage street promo initiatives, strategies and budgets
  • Identify trending concepts / offerings for internal programming
  • Industry outreach to attract tenants / promoters / programming partners

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Music lover / concert goer / club night goer
  • Proficient in graphic design
  • Proficient in web design software (webflow)
  • Proficient with social media platforms (IG, TIKTOK, FB)
  • Experience with Braze Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Accountable and motivated (self-starter)
  • Familiar with or strong aptitude to learn and utilize company tools (Asana, Slack, Notion)
  • Video editing skills

 

 

Terms & Expectations

  • 40 hours per week however due to the nature of the work schedule will fluctuate around events / task list
  • Willing to work a mix of evening and day time hours including weekends
